There's no real quick fix for happiness although if you get REAL REAL BUSY doing things for others, you will find yourself getting unexpected blessings and your sadness will go away. For instance, help your busy mom in ways she doesn't anticipate. Ask her what you can do to help her. No matter if it's cleaning the bathroom, emptying the trash, folding and hanging clothes, sweeping the floor, watching a younger sibling for an hour.....she will be happy for help, I
am sure. And tell her, "Mom, I know you're too busy now but when you have a few minutes, could we just sit and talk? I need you; I need a hug; I need to hug you."
And honey, if you keep busy, busy, busy doing little things for others, you will find you can't help but feel happier. Blessings and I send you a big Christmas hug!

Being sad is sometimes worse than pain !!
Honey, why don't you make a plan to get up early in the morning, say a little prayer for whatever the problems are & for your inner strength to cope , get dressed , have a little tea, hot chocolate, cookie or something light & then get out for a walk in the fresh air.
Take notice of the flowers, sunshine, any natural beauty around.
Believe me, this will lift your spirits high mentally & will benefit you physically.
Think about something fun or interesting that may like to to for the day while walking.
A great boost for your day.

Happiness is a choice you make. You have to trust in your Higher Power, God, etc. that everything is going to be ok. Believe that everything is going to turn out for the best. Think about all the things that you are thankful for. Think about all the blessings that have been bestowed upon you. Take the time to look at things as the glass being half full. Things will get better. Believe it. Trust it. Know it!
You are in my prayers. Have a Happy Holiday!

I really wish I knew.
You just want to be happy right now?
I know this sounds so stupid but act like your 5 years old for 1 hour it makes me crack up. Cause I run around the house looking for a cookie like a idiot and I am 18!

Think of it this way.
You only get one life to live.
You may not ever get to experience another Christmas with your family again.... you never know what will happen between now & next year.
Cherish the moments you have with your family while you can because the moments will never been the same.
I know I don't truly know why you're sad and down but cheer up. There will be much brighter days :)

I'm sorry kiddo, this time is hard for a lot of us.
Happiness is an illusion, we never get there. Just try and be "happier than I am now."

you should try baking something with a family member.
re-connect with them while preparing it.. and you'll end up with a treat for everyone!
or call a friend and talk to them about what's going on..
since your mom isn't available.
