Why is Rodney King's Question Stupid?

it's not really stupid but theres no way "we" can all get along because thats just the way of the world

At the time he stated that it was not really a question it was a statement." Can't we all just get along". But most of you are too young to remember the riots in L.A. It was because of his case that the media asked him to come out and make a statement to try to bring some peace and put a stop to the riots in L. A. But there was a lot of underlying problems besides the Rodney King incident that just brought out the violence that was built up in people for years of feeling oppressed.
