IF you are still married after she left a year ago tha naswer is no. You would have had to have been divorced for a certain amount of time (states differ some say 30 days some say 90+) and you must have given her "reasonable access" to her belongings.

Your wife left you over a year ago and has she had any contact with you at all if you know where she is let her know to come and get her things. You have the right to get rid of them sell them if she has not responded to you by now. You have waited for year.
best of luck

Talk to a lawyer. Have the lawyer draw up some papers and send them to her stating she has something like 7 days, 30 days, etc to get her things or they are yours to do with as you please as of such and such a date.
If she should happen to come back for her stuff, and find out you did any of the above, she can then sue you for destroying her things and say she was just storing them there. Since there's no paperwork, you won't have a leg to stand on.

Have a yard sale! She left them, and I doubt after a year she would want them back. Unless there was something of great significance (like an heirloom), then I would mail it to her or one of her family member's that you have contact information for. I wouldn't go totally out of my way, but at least make a genuine attempt.

Call the divorce lawyer and ask. I don't know what the statute of limitations on personal property is in your state. Find out first before you throw the things out. You don't want to get a bill for what you have not returned to her. How about calling her and telling her to come get the items?

Yes!If she has been gone that long and has made no effort to get them, then you may sell them or send them to someone who may be in need of them.Don't let them go to waste.

Ask her what she wants back: maybe she is too scared to contact you?
Women are crazy, I know because I am one, and if she finds out you tossed her grandmother's priceless afghan shipped all the way from Peru, she might not get the authorities, but she may f*ck up something you'd prefer to keep in tact.

yes, she has established residency somewhere else there for they are now your possession. I went through this not too long ago and a judge just told my ex husband exactly what I am telling you. He had 30 days to remove them and he didn't. 2 yrs later he wanted some guns...well...I sold them so he sued me and lost.

Different States have different laws.
If she has good family around .. then take her belongings to her family.
Later on down the road, if she wanted them and you had sold them ... she could claim that you would not give them to her & sold them .... and it could come to be your word, against her word.
