My fiance and I are ttc. I had my period last november 15th but only lasted for 2 days, then after that, I know it was way too early, but I started feeling cramps, feeling nausea, and thought I was pregnant. My fiance insists that I am. So I went to the doctor and had 2 urine and one blood test through out 2 weeks and they were all negative. My period, well what I think is my period, started yesyerday. But it isnt heavy like it usually is. I was just wondering if anyone out there thought they had their period but was indeed pregnant. I dont want to get my hopes up and think its implantation bleeding or something like that and turns out its just my period so Im going to see an obgyn this thursday. Is it possible to be say 4 or 5 weeks pregnant and tests still say negative?

Well, the blood tests are usually accurate, but! if you take it too soon then it might not really give the correct answer! They take time to catch hold!

There are other things that can effect your periods that go from time-them normal to something from a bad car battery. First thing you say is that you are engaged and stress is a big factor in how your periods go- it can make them light or heavy or late or early... you get the picture. Also any change in diet or exercise routine can also have an impact on all of the above. So if you are trying to get in shape for the dance floor at your reception it could be that too! But your mind can also play a dirty trick on those who are trying to get pregnant, the more you want to and think you might be the more your body tries to mimic being pregnant. This may or may not help you relax for your appointment ;) but just let things move in the natural order and hope, but don't get worried! Good things come to all who wait! Good luck!

well every woman is different and every womans body reacts differently to different things. When i was pregnant with my older son i had my normal physical which showed i was in good health and nothing wrong with me, yet i was sick everyday. I had 7 different blood tests done and all came up either negative or nothing abnormal. My period was always on time and nothing out of the ordinary, the same clotting factor and same degree of heaviness, then one day i missed my period, so i did a home test which showed negative then went to the hospital where they could do more extensive testing in a short period of time without me having to wait a week and that blood test confirmed my pregnancy.
I then went to my regular doc for an ultrasound 2 days later and it showed i was 19.5 weeks pregnant.
So not all woman can show a pregnancy in blood or urine although its rare it does happen.
Don't get your hopes up because if your not pregnant you won't have a huge let down and most of all take it easy and relax and have a safe and Merry Christmas!
