I see 10-year olds everyday with eye-liner and powder and stuff...

WTF, man?!!

Is 11 the new 17?

Yep, I completely agree. It's totally inappropriate. One time when I went to the movies with my friends, we saw these girls that looked about 10 or 11 wearing practically hot pants and supertight tank tops and we were like "Oh my god! They look like little hookers!" It's really sad. I'm 15 btw, and I know I sound like a nagging mother, but this problem is being recognized by so many people! It needs to stop!

While some countries have a customary make up practice like some Middle Easterners were they believe that some black eyeliners strengthen their eyes or it has some herbal composition that they think make the eyes beautiful or strong..and this all start even from an early age..but yes I guess, time has changed when many things done in the past that start when they reach age twenties..one of them is making up..girls have become more vain and so conscious of their personal looks...I wouldn't disagree with girls using make up, but it should come in a certain age, because even make ups have chemicals in them that will process skin problems like acne, pimple and even early wrinkles..they wont even realize how much damage it is gving their face and instead of beautifying them it will even worsen their facial looks...in fact make up can either make or break a face really........I still go for the natural beauty...!!!

I AGREE!!! no little girl needs makeup like that. anyone under 13 or 14 should only be wearing lip gloss. its so scary cuz sometimes you'll see some 10 year old with the made up face of a 16 year old.i hate it.

If some kid wants to wear makeup that's fine but I do think it's kinda ridiculous. I think everyone looks better natural. I hate how makeup looks. It makes people look so fake, like they are wearing a mask. I don't get the big draw. And it's like teaching girl's that they have to put on a fake face to be presentable to the world. It's also another way of teaching girl's that they have to be subservient to men. Like a lot of young girl's wear it so they can look good for the boys. I think it looks atrocious and people should just be comfortable with their natural face b/c it looks 10,000 times better.

Sometimes, it's hard to say no to your child when she's being picked on or bullied for not following the crowd and wearing makeup like the other girls...

But yeah, I agree. It's so messed up. 10 year olds shouldn't have to worry about looking sexy!

I'm 16 and don't wear make up. I don't feel like I have anything to cover up. I agree with you. Kids are wearing and doing things that normally you would associate with someone in high school or older and it's ridiculous. Plus I'm going to take a wild guess and say the guys I've dated have liked kissing ME and not the make up on me.

my mom doesnt know i wear makeup, im 13. she told me she thinks im too young but i wear it any way, shes becoming more ok with it now bc im almost 14. i mean come on why should 17 year olds get to look extra pretty but younger ppl cant?
i was reading others comments and i think theyr right, it probly is bc of older siblings, the parents are already used to it and usually the younger sibling says something like, but she wears make up why cant i. and the parents say fine cuz they dont wanna cause any major fights.
its like that for me and my older bro, but obviously not with makeup!

My 13-year-old daughter likes to wear makeup. She uses concealer to hide her acne and she likes putting on eye makeup. She doesn't really use lipstick that much. I think in her particular case, she looks quite mature for her age and wants to emphasize that instead of trying to look like she's younger.

to a point i agree with you, 13 and below should NOT be wearing makeup because
1) they dont need to attract boys
2) if they did attract a boy it should be by personality
3) they have perfect skin 80% of the time.
But a little lipgloss, mascara and brown eyeliner isnt a big deal.
I'm 15 and I think its disgusting seeing 13 year olds wearing more make up then me.

Im 15 and dont wear makeup! I dont need to look like I have a mask on!
Besides, Im allergic to most.
If I were a parent, I would wait until they are 14-15 and in high school before they consider makeup.
