They are people who rob others of their freedom of expresion.

People get reported, violated and suspended so many times that they are afraid to post an answer or question for fear of being violated AGAIN.
This is a Very Selfish act by a Very Sad minority.

YAHOO TROLLS are sad little people who keep a copy of YAHOO RULES AND REGULATIONS AS PROVIDED BY THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT BECAUSE YOU'RE A PATHETIC LOSER WHO HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN FIND FAULT WITH OTHERS YOU DEEM BENEATH YOU by their computer and they LOOK for violations, no matter HOW petty. Someone asked my OPINION on something and I expressed it. Got a violation notice and blasted the nimrods at Y/A staff...and asked them if they were as perfect as they think WE should be. I also asked them if they ever sat around during working hours and chatted, which is theft from the YAHOO employer. They told me my comment to the asker was HATEFUL. They probably didn't like me stepping on their toes, either. So, we're supposed to answer what the ASKER wants to hear? I'm too old for horse hockey like that, and responded to the Y/A nimrod about the pettiness of the TROLLS. No answer.
This is probably a violation, too. he he 'chatting'?

"A trolls main goal is usually to arouse anger and frustration among the message board's other participants, and will write whatever it takes to achieve this end" When some one takes the trolls bait and attempts to "set them straight", the troll then "reports it" for whatever reason might fit. Yahoo lays the responsibility on the person being reported to prove they are "innocent" of the charge by filing an appeal. The system is weighted heavily in favor of the trolls, something like the accused being guilty until he can prove himself innocent. You could read the Community Guidelines but until you experience some actual contact with this type of creature, it won't do you much good. Merry Christmas, and Happy Violations. I'll probably get one for my explaining this to you.

Remember the fairy tale about the troll on the bridge? Well, that's a troll, and they will smack that report button with their ugly little clubs for no reason at all, they are just mean. Then we... have to appeal if we give a hoot about points, otherwise we just press on!

So do your best not to feel to violated when you get violated!

A star for U!

Trolls are infantile, mentally challenged gangstas. Because of their limited intellect and childishness they have to resort to causing as much trouble as they can on Yahoo!Answers by falsely reporting abuses, giving bad ratings on answers, etc.,.
In the olden days of AOL they were called SNERTS...Snot-Nosed-Egotistical-Retarded-Teenagers.

P.S.
I've had so many abuse notifications that they now just roll off my back like water off a duck.

They're disgusting little creatures that lurk around yahoo -- acting like gad flies and seeing where they can annoy folks and disrupt friendly Q & A sessions. They're under the rocks, rotten boards and mucky swampland that skirts yahoo land. They're quick and have been known to snatch avatars from their owners without warning. They're truly just mind abominations housed by any empty cranium they can find.

No way of knowing what they are. Aliens, maybe. Movie stars slumming? Mad scientists, possibly. Politicians trying to find lives and not succeeding. Script-kiddies grown weary of ripping the internet to shreds trying to find other avenues of expression

Could be anything

Thank you for asking that question. I didn't know what it meant either. I was looking for the dolls with the funky hair from the 60's.

They are the people who keep on handing out violations to ruin other people's fun. (with no good reason). Violations of the guidelines should only be.....well, read them for yourself if you haven't already.
