I am in the holiday mood for good things so do you think we will ever have world peace? If so how long would it take to go from our world today to one with world peace? Was their ever a period of world peace previously in recorded history?

Not a chance. Too many different ideas and everyone thinks they are right. Also, religion plays a big part of why we will never achieve that. You name one war that was not fought over some type of religion. Even we as Americans go to war with God on our side. I don't believe it's something he would want. I think the only world peace we will ever achieve is when the world ends than there will be no one left to fight.

When Rome was at its might, there was peace for a thousand years, referred to as Pax Romanna or Roman Peace. There will never again be peace, until the coming of the Lord.

It is a hopeless dream until personal greed and selfish ambition are eliminated. You can try to keep peace alive in your little corner of the world though.

I think there was a period without war. I don't think there will be world peace. Too many religious fanatics, to many religion.

it is possible, we just have to hope that the right people get in power. Sadly that has not happened yet, but maybe one day it will
