If pats beat the gmen this week, they would be 16-0, and undefeated season. What other teams in the nfl that also have an undefeated season? I know miami dolphins also had undefeated season back in the 80's right? But did the dolphin also win the superbowl that season?

now it was 1972 and yeah they won the super Bowl that year they are they only other team to do so the bears had a chance one year but the dolphins (ironically) beat them to end that dream haha

Only other team since the merger is the 1972 Dolphins who went 14-0.. and yes they won the Superbowl, actually going 17-0.

the 1972 dolphins were the only team to go undefeated throughout the season and playoffs, but it was a 14 game season back then, so they're record was 17-0

Yes they did.It was the "72" Dolphins.Lip gloss knows her ball,I'm impressed.You can't compare length of seasons though,all the rules have changed.Shula,an excellent couch and Marino,great quarterback (not on the "72" roster) didn't win the big one again.

1st of all miami undefeated season was '72 and the patriots still have to beat all playoff games to even to be spoke of in the same breath with the '72 dolphins.
