My tree was up for about five minutes before the cat sauntered over, sat down and eyed it, looked at me as if to say "you cant be serious? you think its going to stay here?" Then stood up on his hind legs and pushed it over, then walked away with a smug look on his face - a job well done I assume.
He has tried it on a few more times but I have caught him before he can push it over again.
NOW a cat peeing on the presents under the tree? Thats a tad over the top - not mine - someone else's I know.
One year my son's dog opened ALL the presents after we went to bed looking for chocolate - he ate all of it that he found, and then took down the stockings and raided those too.
You gotta love the critters who share our lives -
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

We had a huge cat who once wrestled a 20+ lb turkey off the table to the floor and had consumed a drum stick by the time my mother noticed. That cat was named "toughie" for good reason - he weighed in at well over 20 lbs and wasnt even fat, just REAL big. :-)

Years a go my friend and her hub had a really old bird dog. His last Christmas the hub had gotten her a coat with a mink collar on it. That old dog would walk over to the tree and back up and point just like he had a bird spotted, he did it perfect and would do it for over an hour, go rest and start in again. My friend was the only one that didn't know what was in the box so we all got a good laugh out of it and she was sure it was a dead bird. Poor ol dog died the next year on Thanksgiving day of a heart attack. My dogs used to all 3 sit and wag and wiggle as they knew there was a reallly good treat for them in the tree they just had to wait. My cats ignored the tree they were always too busy fishing in the aquarium. Have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic 2008.

No, and I am very happy that I don't have a pet now. Not saying that I don't like animals, cuz I do, but I have a 2 year old son that has opened the majority of the presents, pulled the garland off of the tree, and ate all the candy canes (partially) that were within reach. Not only that, he has broken ornaments and forced me to move all of the rest 3 feet up the tree to keep him from getting them. He is a mess, but hes a sweet one, who has already gotten some of his presents because he keeps opening them!!! Hehe!!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!!!!

LOL too funny! I once had a Siamese who stole an entire baked chicken and fled with it...we found it days later...not much left! LOL
Years ago when I was around 14, I had a miniature cocker spaniel. It was my Dad's birthday and my mom had baked a cake. We didn't have a dining room, and ate in the kitchen, so when dinner was ready she asked my Dad to take the platter with the cake into the living room so she could clear the table and we could eat. Well, he put the platter on the cushion of the easy chair and later when he went to get the cake, the doggie was BURIED in the middle of it, eating away! Would you believe my Dad just picked up the platter, cut away where the dog had been eating, and cut himself a piece! lol
I didn't put up a tree this year - and my Tony will get his presents this evening when I come back home and have time to watch him play!

Several years ago my mother had just finished cooking a 24 pound turkey for Christmas when the cat decided that the turkey looked too good for human consumption, so this cat climbed up on the dining room table, and he helped himself to the turkey. Little to say after this cat helped himself, this turkey was not fit to eat.
Merry Christmas

Just put the table top tree up today for that exact reason. So far, it has survived, but don't figure it will make it through the night !! Presents are all in gift bags, so they've been playing with the tissue paper.
They all get their own presents, so don't know why they can't leave ours alone !!

Iso - I do not celebrate Christmas - but my cat celebrates my home every day. This morning after I poured my Cheerios into a bowl, the phone rang. I answered the phone, was tied up for about 5 mins. and Katy had eaten my Cheerios and my soy milk! Another favorite "treat" for her is pumpkin pie!
Go figure! And when I am doing laundry, she likes to wear my undies - - - - and they call them dumb animals. HA HA HA! CJ

suprised your dog survived after eating chocolate ~ it's very bad for animals.
Anywho that's never occured the worst that has was the dog chewed a note book or backpack i had just gotten from my parents but I forgave her after that she didnt i dun think any who sorry your dogs are total assholse maybe try putting the stockings and tree in a room they cant get into? or getting something to barricade them from getting into that area..good luck! merry xmas :)!

There's no tree and presents here, but I opened a can of special food for them to growl at one another over while they ate their portions, then gave them catnip.
I don't celebrate Christmas, but they do.
