True. Although this theory seems to go out the window when I ask (action) for my husband to get off the couch and take out the trash. No reaction.

It might be delayed, but I think it's true. Is it always an opposite reaction? Hmmm. You left that part out, so maybe your premise is true more often than that one is. Not all reactions can be measured physically.

I guess it depends on what you're talking about. I know it's supposed to be a scientific rule and all, but (and please forgive my seriousness on this answer!!!!!) people don;t always need to react when provoked.
As you may have guessed I was totally provoked this past weekend and I was SOOO damn proud of myself for being the bigger, more mature person and not giving the provoker the satisfaction of a reaction!!!
Lol, again, sorry for the serious answer, I'll have to be double silly the next time around!!
Merry Christmas!!

That's absolutely true as everything you set in motion has a consequence to go with it whether the action set forth is a good or bad one.

Too true. Although it's slightly misquoted. you forgot "equal or opposite reaction." Ah well.
Proof?
You shove your friend. He gets mad and shoves you back.
Equal reaction.
