I get what you're talking about dude, and I have to say, I agree. Now, don't get me wrong, I know plenty of girls who actually know what they are talking about when it comes to music; but a majority of them do just listen to what is popular. I'm 99% positive most girls also choose what bands they like based on the looks of the members. Once again, this does not mean all girls, I've had lengthy conversations with several girls about music, but a lot of them don't really know anything about music.

Just you, but I'm a complete music fanatic. I can't speak for everyone. A lot of girls I know, don't know much. Then again a lot of guys don't either.

Girls do seem to be the worst offenders when it comes to liking terrible bands, here on Rock&Pop anyway. Although I've seen plenty of WOMEN here with great taste in music. The majority of the girls here though dont know as much as they like to think they do

And no, I don't listen to "teen angst" music or the such, I listen to classic rock...

As far as rock music goes that seems to be true way too often. In the world of blues music some of my favorite musicians are women.

Its not just you. I agree with you and glad finally someone asked a question about it. Lets not forget though thats for most girls and not all girls apply to it. But to the ONES THAT DO! They just stick to everything trendy, "the flavor of the month." They mostly go for mainstream bands that are talentless that talk about "teen angst", mostly the majority of girls only go for looks their definition of good music "if the band has at least one hot or cute member then the band is good."
BUT REMEMBER! NOT ALL GIRLS ARE LIKE THIS!!!
*There are also guys who don't know much, if any about good music, just to make it fair.

i know all kinds of music and i listen to just about everything..
i can sit in my room and listen to music for hours on end. just the other day i sat in my room and listened to music for about 3 and a half - 4 hours..
so ask me anything about music, i know a lot!..
