Well I grew up in a very urban , well-to-do, multicultural town. I moved out for college to Colorado then came back to my hometown to go to Graduate school.
Where I went out to college there was no diversity, nothing much to do. I was excluded and left out. I missed my family and my friends everyday. So I came back home to get my Masters Degree.
Well the program wasn't what I wanted. So I am transfering to another college which is near my hometown. I am still living with my family in my hometown untill I get my Masters degree. I will not move to college anywhere else because of my horrible undergrad experience.
If you live in a small town you have to move to where the jobs are and where the colleges are.
I live in a metropolitan cosmopolitan area. The 5 of the best colleges in the nation are here and jobs are pleanty. Cost of housing is high so most people stay with thier families till they can save up.
I am 26 years old. I am happy to live in my hometown where my family, friends, colleges, diversity and jobs are.

Okay--I'm in the WAY over 25 age group.
No, I do not live anywhere near where I grew up. Born in Alaska, raised in Oklahoma/Missouri, and now way down south.
Most people do go back home though, whether permenently or as a temporary solution to whatever happened (job, housing, boyfriends/girlfriends, children, divorce, college...). And as Dorthy said, "there's no place like home".

I am 28.
I guess it depends on what you mean the area you grew up in.
I live in Maryland where I have lived during the past 16 years
I went to middle school and high school in the same county I live in now and I have lived here all of my adult life.
I was born in Georgia where I lived for one year then my parents who were in the Air Force moved to five states until
I was in fifth grade.

Define "home town". The state/city you were born in, but didn't live in for long - or the state/city that you spent the majority of your childhood living in? I was born in one state, but spent 11 formative years in another. I moved back to my "birth state" at the age of 21 & still live there. So...yes and no!
