The only limit we have in this life ... is our imagination.
I think some of these people may have taken this question a little to "literally". Of course, we must have societal limits to prevent chaos and parental limits to raise respectful children ... but as far as what we choose to do in life ... I believe that is up to us. I have loved this poem since I was a little girl and I think it sums it up nicely ...

depends what circles you are thinking in. You can only go so far before someone stops you and locks you up in jail. You can only go so far before someone locks you up in a mental hospital. You can only go so far until the disapproval from others is so intense that you stop what you are doing and can't go any further. Sometimes though, if you really are doing something that you believe is best for you and all you meet is dissaproval... that is a sign that you need new friends... every consencientious person deserves support in life and to push the limits and prove that they are not there:)

Life has no limits. People do. Yes we can go as far as we want but what is the point sweet?
I look at the person I love and feel I have to be there,
He is my father and he is housebound at the moment. We are taking Christmas to him.
But he will thank and praise my partner

I woudn't neccessarily say that is an illusion, but there are many factors that limit what one can do. Life in general is limited by the fact that everyone will die someday.
