Okay, I see you're really jazzed about A&A. It is a good game but it is a long one. We're talking six hours or more to play. I prefered the first Milton Bradley edition (the one with blue oceans) to the second edition (black oceans) but both games have their fans. Two to five players can play. Set up the units according to the chart. Each country gets one turn each round to be the aggressor. Each turn contains several phases: buy units, move units into combat, combat, move units that *don't* involve combat and, finally, add units.

You find out more about the game here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/metasearch.php?searchtype=game&search=axis+%26+allies&B1=Go. A&A is very popular at game conventions. You can find lots of opponents there. If you don't know of any convention near you check any local college.
