:You have a transmission problem.. When the engine gets warmed up transmission go into what technicians call "limp in" meaning car wont go above a speed set at the factory..Usually about 30 to40 mph.. First check your fluid, but I think your going to find your problem is more serious.. Sounds like a torque converter is going out.. Take it to a tranny man or a dealership soon as possible.. Will only get worse, and could blow the transmission..Your talking about $2000.00 if you do that.. Hope this helps.. GOOD LUCK!!

others then the oil and the transmission problems, it maybe cause by the dirt stuck inside the fluid travel hose inside the transmission. another problem is the throttle positioning angle sensor giving error signal and cause the gear always engage in the lower gear. this is what my experience, hope these can help.

i believe you have a tranny problem. have you changed you tranny fluids? if not do that before doing anything else you will need the htf fluid and it's so easy to change it's a diy thing takes me about 10 min or less to do.you need about 2 quarts. if that don't fix it then you have to get another tranny (not expensive.) and do this before it's too late and you blow something else(knock on wood) good luck
