I remember the Moon landings from the past. I believe them to be true. Later in my 40's I watched some show on one of these history channels and they had some pretty smart people who they said had proof that the moon landing were faked by our government. In the end, these people were proved wrong. One sure way of convincing all of the no-believers would be to buy time on the Hubble telescope and point it at the moon, and show everybody the flag and the land cruiser and other debris that man has left behind...

It's due the fake videos and the current lack of any manned Moon missions from any country in the world.

It should be noted just because the videos are fake, that doesn't mean that the actual missions themself are fake.

some people are just ignorant and unaware of the facts. I mean sure, some people still say the Earth is flat and that the light bulb was really never invented. Does that make them any more correct than the ones that deny the existence of the element oxygen?

Some people just don't have anything else better to talk about, so they pin the moon landings onto some "conspiracy theory".
If people really want to talk about conspiracy theories, try picking a topic like Princess Diana's, or JFK Jr.'s deaths.

It seems some people are overly willing to believe everything is a conspiracy and that the government is lying to them about everything. In part, I think this particular belief stems from how difficult it is for some people to believe we actually accomplished this.

Because they don´t know. Many people don´t know about space, about astrophotography, about celestial mechanics, but they go to the movies, see ufo films, and read popular magazines. What could you expect from them?

I think it is somehow related to paranoia. People I know who think this way do seem to have other delusions about what is real and what isn't. Also about everyone being out to get them and fool them by telling them untruths.

Paranoid disorder. The problem can be somewhat treated with therapy and medications.
