Depends on how far along you are when the fetus dies. Before 20 weeks a DNC is done and the fetus is just either trashed or disposed of after 20 weeks it is a stillborn. Which means there is a required funeral.

This depends on how far along the mother was in the pregnancy. If it occurs early on then the OB/GYN can do a D7C (dilation and cutterage) to remove the tissue. If it happens latter on when the fetus is larger and must be delivered (expelled vaginally) then I assume that the family has the choice to have a funeral and/or burial.

If an infant dies after birth or is stillborn, they have a funeral. My nephew died at two days old, and we had a funeral and visitation and buried him. A fetus though, is an unborn child. Usually if the fetus dies inside the mother and the mother isn't that far along, she passes the baby, like a heavy period, it looks like blood clots.

We had a funeral for her. Depends on the family, I have heard of families that don't want to have funerals and all of that. The baby is still part of the family though if you ask me.

A funeral will be held and the child will be buried, but it depends on the family.

I think it depends on the family. I've heard of people burying it.
