As we all may know people have done their research and of course the Xbox 360 Elite has 120 GB and the PS3 has different ones. But the highest 80 GB. Though im hearing that the PS3 has way more potential than that. CAN THE PS3 REALLY GO HIGHER IN GB?

Everyone that answered this question is very wrong.

The biggest Hard drive that you can put in a PS3 is a 250GB hard drive, and they cost around $179.00 brand new.... that's about the same price of a 120GB hard drive for the 360.

With the 360 you HAVE to buy the hard drive that Microsoft makes, therefore Microsoft can charge Xbox 360 owners more money for the hard drive because they know that it's the only option they have.

However with the PS3, any brand of a 2.5" Sata laptop hard drive will work with the PS3.

What gb it says on the box is what it is, no more. However, even on the 360 elite some of the 120gb is used on its own software that comes with it. so no the ps3 is not capable of more than it says it is, and certainly isnt capable of anything that the 360 is, it is a much better console.
