I have the following Flushmount Ceiling Fixture at home:
http://www.destinationlighting.com/storeitem.jhtml?iid=20448

The bulbs in it have blown out and I need to replace them. But I see no way to remove the fixture, i.e. there are no visible bolts or screws on the fixture.

How does one remove this fixture?

I think you're right, i.e. I think I need to unscrew the globe from the metal base. Its just stuck real tight so I'm not making any headway when I try to unscrew it by turning it counter clockwise. Am going to try pushing it gently from side to side and see if that helps at all.

Thank you for all of your responses.

Usually on these you unscrew the globe from the fixture. It might be real tight so you will have to use some force. You might try gently pushing side to side while trying to unscrew it. It will help loosen it.

The fixture sheet you reference doesn't show it,
but there WILL be a way to open the fixture,
to change lamps.
It will probably be spring clips or a screw somewhere.
If there's no screw: Try to GENTLY pry the glass loose.
If that doesn't work, try to GENTLY pry the whole
metal trim downward.
Keep looking, it's there somewhere.

have you tried either trying to unscrew it...either from the ceiling or the glass from the base? If that does not work try just pulling...GENTLY... down on it...depending on the model.

When you lift, push up on the globe, you will find that there are sections of the outer ridge missing so that you can tilt the globe and slide it out.
