Well, the weather here is typically gloomy, as you put it, at this time of the year. There were few instances in the past when it rained on Christmas day. Be that as it may, there's always a festive holiday atmosphere all over the Philippines at Christmas time. People, rich and poor alike, are happy celebrating it in their own way.
I hope the brighter side of the weather, which is the people, will inspire you to write another poem, and a cheerful one at that.

Early morning in Cebu, the rain lashed a bit furiously but now, the sun is shining ever so brightly - a good omen for the day. I don't know about the weather in the other parts of the archipelago. I hope it is as sunny as it is back here.
Edit:
I spoke too soon this morning. Just as my family and I were ready to go to SM, the rains fell. However, we didn't allow the bad weather to dampen our desire to have fun.

I think it's gloomy in a lot og places Here in seattle washington it is gloomy ' sad and depressing ; even the birds aren;t singing today.I guess not everyone is jumping for joy on this lonG quiet long@SS DAY.
