Boy, there are a lot of people here who don't know much about Babe Ruth. Yeah, he cavorted, but so did most of the sports people of that time. (Not all, but many.) And he was not even doing that until the early 20s, when he'd had almost a decade in the game. He was a brick of muscle for most of his career. The images we see and the legends that we here came mostly from the last 7 or 8 years of his career. He was truly an athlete and a fabulous one at that. With steroids, the Babe just might even have gotten 2,000 homers. Remember, before he came along no one imagined that in one season he could out homer every team in the league!!!

He had the ultimate steroid boost....night life that would make rock stars weep. You could have probably double his totals virtually every season if he had a training table of the modern-day Ivan Dragos.

i think it probably would have been around 760, 770. Oh and you can add to the argument what if hank aaron or willie mays had? Aaron would still have more and mays would still be about 40 behind

Forget about taking steroids; just think what he could have done had he eaten healthy foods, stopped smoking and drank less beer. He achieved what he did on cigars, hot dogs and beer.

Actually less because no one would pitch to him -- they would automatically walk him every time. It doesn't make sense to pitch to a hitter who bats .400 and blasts a homerun every 4 or 5 at-bats.

Probably about 715.
Its obvious that working out wasn't on the top of his list and steroids don't do the work on their own. You still have to work your butt off, steroids just help the player push themselves further.
