Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. As a Christian it's a holiday I celebrate. So I am not offended in the least.
You have every right to say it as there are millions of Christians across the planet celebrating this very holiday at this moment!!! ;~)
Other's who don't celebrate Christmas, should be respectful and just stay quiet if they don't celebrate the holiday, plain and simple.
They can wish people whatever they want.
It used to be that people of all races celebrated the holiday without incidence. When you let politics mix with religion, this is what you get.
Ho, ho, ho, I mean ha, ha, ha.

I look at it like this: Say you're an American living in England. Would you get offended when people say "Happy Boxing Day"? It might be a lame example but I can't think of anything else. Anywho, no, you shouldn't get offended. It's widely celebrated in their country. YOU live in their country, accept that they have other holidays. So, Christmas is an American holiday...let Americans wish you a Merry Christmas. 'Cause it's America. But sure, Happy Holidays, that's okay. It's just a cashier wishing it to you, you don't have to take it seriously, they have to.

I think people need to get over this PC thing and accept the nice wishes, no matter what religion or creed it comes from! Merry Christmas!!!
