There are ten tenths in a mile, and each of them is one tenth of a mile long. I hope you are very young and don't realize how stupid you are, but there are ten tenths in any distance ... with the 'length' of that 'tenth' being 'one tenth' of that distance. I think someone played a joke on you to get you to ask this question, so I gave you the correct answer. Now go ask that person how many tenths there are in an inch ... and you'll know the answer to that question, too.

Tenths of what?
There are a lot more tenths of a foot in mile than tenths of a mile, but you know that already. You just wanted to write a weird question & see what happened. And why not? :D
Merry Christmas.

Your question is not so specific.
one English mile is 1609m.
one nautical mile is 1852m.
One mile in the metric system is 10 km or 10 000m.
Hope i have helped you.
