I have done that, though not a million miles and it's a good thing for a fresh start sometimes.

Not any more but I have in the past and I've done it several times. Not quite a million miles, but each move has been to another country. And I've had major obstacles to overcome because of obligations like jobs, houses, children -- I've just quit the jobs, sold the houses, and taken the children with me. I'm not rich, I'm a single mother, and I often didn't know where our next meal was coming from. But I did it anyway. I'm almost 50 now and I finally feel that I will never need to do it again. But if I did, I would! Why don't you check out something like VSO or other agencies where they send you to volunteer overseas -- that gives you a lot of perspective on life. Good luck!

Been there and done that. Not a million miles away but enough to get out of a seriously violent relationship.

YES!! I was THISCLOSE to joining the FBI once. So you don't know how bad I'd love to do that. Oh well.
