Here are the details:
-not sexually active (although have been fingered and had oral sex --w/protection)
-no painful urination, white/clear discharge, no bumps or anything weird looking
-goes away completely when I am on my period...only to return when my period is over
-have taken plan B (which could have been the cause of all this)
-also shaved thesame time
-tried 3 day monistat treatment and got relief for about a week only to have the symptoms reoccur...
does neone have any suggestions of what may be causing my itch?

okay i have never had vaginal intercourse...and yes it is possible to have oral sex with protection. Thanks everyone for your help--i really appreciate it. Also, why does it go away when i am on my period?

Sounds like a stronger yeast infection than what Monistat could take care of. The doctor has a cream that's stronger than the 4% that's normal over the counter.

They can do a slide exam and see if it IS yeast buds in the fluid, just so you are treating the right problem.

Don't understand why you would take plan B if you haven't been sexually active. BUT, to answer your question, it could just be that you are dry down there. You could try keeping yourself moist with a vaginal lubricant. Just plain vaginal lubricant...NO medicated lubricant. It would make sense if the itching goes away when you have your period because that would provide moisture down there.

Some medications that cause dry eyes or dry mouth may also cause a dry vagina as well. If you try this and it doesn't work, then I would go to the doctor.

Good luck.

You probably have a yeast infection. Try a longer dose of the Monistat. Don't they have 10 day treatments?

If you've ever had sex before, then maybe you have a latent STD that is only now surfacing. Climita can take up to two years before it shows it self, if at all.

Stop shaving for awhile. Maybe you have a staph infection.

You could have a different type of yeast infection and you may need a stronger medication. Best bet is to see a doctor and get the little pink pill that's the only thing that's work for me.

yea shaving could be the problem, or you could just have an infection. even though your not sexually active you could have a yeast infection from tight jeans or the material of underwear you have. but you wont get an accurate answer here so i think you should go see your gyno

It still sounds like a yeast infection or possibly bacterial vaginosis. Buy one of those infection tests from the drug store and it should tell you whats wrong with you.

Still could be a yeast infection, but you won't know for sure until you go to the doctor for tests.

Good luck.
