You will have to ask your doctor. C-section is major abdominal surgery and takes a year or more to completely heal. If you begin to exercise before your doctor okays it you could be putting yourself in danger.

Just be careful... I'd say you can start cardio (meaning walking) around 7 weeks postpartum.
As for weight lifting, swimming and everything else that involves heavy use of stomach muscles (sit ups ect..) wait about ten weeks or more if the wound isnt completely heeled by ten.
Just breastfeeding and taking walks around the block with your baby right now is burning a lot of calories. Eat real good and it'll burn even more until you can exercise =)

Your doctor will let you know, but I think you have to be pretty much completely healed as they go in through the stomach and you dont want any pressure there pushing yer innards out past yer muscles (which they have to cut through) causing a hernia and more surgery

As soon as you feel comfortable with exercising. Start off with a few and gradually add a little more every two weeks.

You should be able to start excercising now. Start out slow, listen to your body, stop if it hurts.
