the definition of a square is that all the sides are equal, and that each angle in the square is 90 degrees.
The equation to find the area in a square is b^2(b is just one side in the square)=A (also remember b must be positive)
If A=48
Then b^2=48
and b= 4root3

The area of a square formula is:

A = side ^2

The area is given as 48.

48 = s^2

Take the square root of both sides.

sqrt{48} = sqrt{s^2}

4(sqrt{3}) = side

The length of one side is 4 times the square root of 3, which is typed 4(sqrt{3}).

The area of a square is the length of one side, squared. So if you have the area, you take the square root of it to get the length of one side. The square root of 48 is an irrational number, but it rounds to about 6.92

area = 48 sq ft
area = side * side
if s is the side then
area = s * s = s² = 48 sq ft
s = √48 =
√(16 * 3) = √16 * √3 = 4√3 ft

side = 4√3 ft or 4*1.732 ft = 6.928 ft
