No, it is not normal for the discharge to have a bad smell. This could be an indication of an infection such as bacterial vaginosis. The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

I don't think so. I think you should get that looked at. I have an IUD and I had every other problem with it BUT no bad smell.

It shouldn't affect it like that, maybe you should get checked for infections.
