Do movie theaters close early for Christmas eve?

Ours stays open as usual. It is even open on Christmas.

I guess it depends how big a staff they have and how many people they expect to go out on a Christmas eve. I live right outside of NYC and just saw two movies back to back today, No Country for Old Men and then Sweeney Todd and the theatres closed early tonight, their last film being at 8:00. Normally, as someone mentioned last films of the night are usually around 12 or so, the other night on friday I know the last movie was at 1:12.

Yes and no it really all depends. Some employees get the time around the holiday off, but not the actual day. It depends on the location of the theater as well, and its size. If a big movie is being released soon, they will not close.

In heavily populated areas like New York, they run their last shows around 10:30 pm, and in other areas the last show is usually around 9:45pm. This is a typical Sunday schedule.

On Christmas Day, they go back to midnight shows.

I think you would just have to call and find out. It would probably depend if they are independent or part of a chain of theaters. I want to see the Chipmonk movie. ;-)

im pretty sure they dont but omg thats gotta suck for the people that work on christmas.. cuz like movies come out then.. does that mean they close early on christmas???

Check your local Theateres, but you can't do, your a cat! How will you get a ticket and pay for it?

Depends on which theatre. I suggest you search up the move theatre you're going to on the internet and it will give you the dates and times they're open.
