How Did You First Hear Your Favorite Band?

I heard of The Devil Wears Prada on Youtube. And then I had a whole bunch of friends who thought they were cool. And now I like them more than all of my friends =]

My Favorite band, Atreyu was discovered on a video on Youtube. The song was Becoming the Bull.

I first went to a show that was my first show ever at a local venue. Turns out it was a big show with Drop dead Gorgeous, Bullet for my valentine, and 18 visions. Escape the fate was suppose to be there too but they had bus trouble :-( but ya i fell in love with Bullet and DDG.

My husband had heard a song on the radio and bought a CD and brought it home. I HATED it at first, but after awhile I fell in love with the band, after listening to the lyrics. He has never let me forget it. The band Godsmack. ( This was when they first came out.)

I first heard Evanescence on the bus when I was in either second or third grade. the song was Bring Me To Life, but I didn't think anything about it because I didn't know who they were at the time. The second song I heard was My Immortal but, it was on those KidzBop CDs (KidzBop sucks! I can't BELIEVE I used to like them! Hey, I was only ten when I got it!). Then my sister and I was going to the library, but before we walked out the door I spot the Evanescence CD "Fallen" on one of those portable dinner tables in our living room. I thought that my sister rented it the last time we went, so I told her, "You've been holding out on me!" because I've been looking FOREVER for it ever since my online friends kept saying how great they were. Then my sister said, giving me a look that clearly said, " I didn't rent that. I don't even LIKE that band!" then she said, " That's 'sally's'!" * I'm pretty sure she doesn't want me to say her real name.*

"Sally" doesn't like it when we take her CDs and scratch them up. Mom knows that. So she said that I can burn it on a blank CD. I've been listening to Fallen on the bus up until The Open Door came out.... Er... Actually, ever since I got it for Christmas last year!

I have 4 'favourite' bands, so...

Fleetwood Mac ~ my dad always played tapes of 'Rumours', 'Tango...' & 'Greatest Hits' in the car.
Jethro Tull ~ I saw a b/w clip of them singing on an old music programme, and bought their 'best of' CD.
Led Zeppelin ~ I knew *of* them, and when I had a bit of money, decided to by their 'best album' of the time.
Blackmore's Night ~ the cover of their first album was drawn by an artist I like, and then I listened to a clip on MSN Music.

Many Many moons ago in a restaurant in down town San Diego. On one of those little juke boxes sitting on the counter.

My favorite band is DEF LEPPARD. I was watching Coyote Ugly (the movie) a few years ago and Pour Some Sugar on Me was in the movie, and I thought it was really catchy and now they are my favorite band.
