how to subtract 7x + 3y - 4z from -2x - 6y + z
-2x - 6y + z - (7x + 3y - 4z) =
-2x - 6y + z - 7x - 3y + 4z =
-9x - 9y + 5z

7x + 3y - 4z from -2x - 6y + z
So as an equation it looks like this...
-2x - 6y + z - (7x + 3y - 4z)
= -2x - 6y + z - 7x - 3y + 4z
= -9x -9y + 5z

7(x) - 4(x) = 3(x)
so its 3x +3y from -2x - 6y + z
so in -2x - 6y + z - 3x - 3y(because you are subtracting an addition)
-2x - 3x = -5x and -6y - 3y = -9y
answer: -5x - 9y + z (because z is shown only as + z)

-2x - 6y + z
7x + 3y - 4z
Subtract the x, y, and z coefficients.
X: -2 - 7 = -9
Y: -6 - 3 = -9
Z: 1 + 4 = 5
So your answer is -9x - 9y + 5z.
Hope this helps!

wat u do is put the like terms together:
-2x + 7x
6y - 3y
and
-4x + z
(its negative if thers a subtraction sign in front of it in the original problem because minus is the same as plus a negative #)
then u just work m from thr and ur answer is: 5x + 3y - 3z
you cannot work any further because none of the variables are the same.
