I almost love my Mirena. It started out fine the usual spotting and irregular periods. Then it started going smoothly where i almost had no period, and if i did it lasted a few days and i needed only a pantyliner. But now it makes my periods last 2 long. They kept me on my regular cycle but the spotting just lasts entirely 2 long. Hubby n i agree its time for it to come out. Its been 2 yrs now.

Mirena provides lower and steadier hormones than the Pill. It won't cause significant weight gain. Easy for your health care professional to replace in 5 years (or less, if you choose). It may also shorten, lighten. or eliminate your periods-after one year of use. There may be up to a 90% reduction in menstrual bleeding. 20% of Mirena users had no bleeding or spotting at all.
