The bottom line is if they did do it in the sixty's, than why has it never been done again, its been almost 50 years, and all the concern with science and studying the universe, no one has ever attempted it again? Cmon!

Yes they did. Who do you think left the laser reflectors on the moon?

Lasers have been used to make very precise measurements of the Earth-Moon distance since the Apollo era, when astronauts left reflectors at three sites on the lunar surface.

Also, when the USA landed on the moon, they were in the middle of the Cold War with the U.S.S.R. and the Russians were tracking their every move, so put two and two together and think.
The Russians would have been the first say the landings were fake!

The landing was real. The TV transmission was received through radio telescopes, including those in the Soviet Union. If they had any hint that the landing was fake, they would have told the world (up to then, they were winning the race to space).

The hoax could have started because some pagans still believe that the Earth is flat. If it is flat, then orbiting Earth (an essential step in going to the Moon) is impossible. Therefore, to protect their own beliefs, they must discredit the idea that men went to the Moon.

---

It is still a very touchy issue. In America, there are mind terrorists who are determined to poison the minds of our youth with conspiracy theories and esoteric theories (like the 2012 end-of-the-world hoaxes). For example, they want to "balance' the teaching of science with pagan beliefs.

Mind you, we, the supposedly civilized inhabitants of North America, gave them hope by falling into the trap of Y2k...

Ok I may as well give my two cents worth as well here,, First you ask about the moon landing and ill get to that in a minute, Now about this JFK and Marilyn Monroe thing, Yes they had flings and thats well documented but as many usa presidents that is true so now thats covered lets get to the moon landings, It was real as real can get, I watched as apollo 11 lifted off the launchpad and as it traveled up into space and then later I watched in awe as it circled the moon and then I was on the edge of my couch as the eagle landed and then as Niel Armstrong took one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind, Now just think about that saying, Is it true? was it really a giant leap for mankind? yes it was,, In fact it set the scene for many more trips to the moon from apollo 11,12,14,15,16,17, and apollo 13 had an explosion onboard in transit to the moon and they were very lucky to make it back home to terra firma safley,, Now about why so many say its a hoax,, This is because there are people in the world who have their own beliefs such as this guy that shows up here in this section saying the earth is flat so its for those types of narrow minded people who claim such things as a hoax, Look at what happened in Bahgdad when the usa and britian invaded it, the ministry of defence still denied that they were being invaded even as the bombs were going off right down the street from him, so you see this is the type of people who always scream hoax, But believe me if you want or not the moon landings were very real, I seen them all as they happened, ;;

Hope this helped a bit to understand it, or maybe im just rambling but its all true,,

Merry Christmas to you and yours,,

I don't believe, I know. They landed four men there in the sixties and eight in the seventies.

If you honestly think the whole thing revolves around a few minutes of film of one bloke in a spacesuit, then you're silly enough to think it could have been faked. But there were also seven three-hundred-foot rockets, thousands of hours of film footage of the journey, the landings, the exploration, and also the construction of components, planning, and millions of normal, man-in-the-street witnesses.

It's like asking if World War 2 was real. It's that obvious.

Faking a lunar landing - multiple times is not plausible. Other countries were 'watching' with radar, etc...

It's legitimate. What is sad is that America gave up on being a leader in space and has pulled back from the Moon since those times.

Oh dear, not again.

One of the early experiments the Americans left behind were laser reflectors that astronomers all over the world use daily
to ascertain the moon's orbit to the nearest centimetre. This isn't something the conspiracy theorists can explain away (but I'm sure they will).

A man? Six men walked on the moon in the late 60s and early 70s. It was one of the great feats of our time and was acknowledged as such by the entire world. To suggest that it was a fake is to disparage all the brave astronauts and the scientists and technicians who made it possible. Those who claim it was a fake also demonstrate their appalling ignorance.

It is not a question of belief, but an historic fact: the six Moon landings are about the best documented events in human history: thousands of pictures, hours of videos, 800 kg. of Moon rocks, and millions of witnesses, including myself. Only a total nincompoop would disbelieve the evidence.

Yes I do, what amazes me more is that in the recent years we seemed to have shelved all other space travel which is due to either being a bit nieve back in the 60's or we've realised its not so bad here on planet earth.

Yes, it seems like as time goes on more nd more people believe it was fake for some reason!
