When I try to update my service pack 1 xp to service pack to it gets suck on the running processes before install. I have left the installer on over night and it is still stuck on running processes before install. please help me fix this problem....


(also i have enough space on my hard drive it says i have 65% to still use)

Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, ok. Select Startup tab, disable all, apply, ok. PC will restart. Install SP2. It should be done in about 30 minutes. After a successful installation, go back to msconfig to enable startups again.
Worked great for me before.
