I had the same problem a while ago. She's probably just wanting attention- she has low self esteem probably. I would ask her to stop, maybe ask her why she's doing it, try to work things out, ya know? But, if she keeps doing, end the friendship...no one wants a friend that lies!
Obviously you're much, much better friend then she is, and if you stay true to yourself and other people, you'll be able to find new- and much better friends, in no time at all =)
It feels pretty sucky, but it's the best thing to do.

well i think your girlfriend is telling the truth. she probably deleted the message because it hurt her to think you would do something like that. your ex could've know that she would delete those messages, or knew that she could hack into your girlfriend's account and delete them herself. i doubt your girlfriend is lying about this. you said your ex was still in love with you, so she's probably sending your girlfriend messages telling her bad made-up stuff about you thinking that your girlfriend will break up with you and you'll get back with her. but you should confront your girlfriend about it. ask her if your ex really sent those messages to her. no matter what she says, tell her that you never cheated on a girlfriend or slept with any of the girls that the message claimed you did. if your girlfriend chooses to still believe your ex over you, then she isn't worth it. a relationship with no trust is completely pointless. you can find a better girl who will actually believe you. good luck, and i don't think you slept with and cheated on all those girls. sometimes it feels good just to have one person on your side :)
