I mean, you can't force someone to stop going there. Most people know that McDonalds is bad for you, but so is any resturaunt really! If you go there once a week, even twice a week it is fine. But you have to make sure you exercise.

I just hate how people are huge health nuts and don't let people enjoy a few fries every once in a while. If you hate fast food, then why are you still in this catagory?

I think people know what good, bad, and okay is for them.

When I say hit the resturaunt, I'm saying why do they try to bring it down, not why do they try to eat there the most.

i remember i was watching some chick in some beauty pagent. They asked her if ever became president, what was one of the first things she would do to change the country, and she said something alonge the lines of "id make sure some of the popular nasty fast food chain restuarants closed!!" and everyone applauded her. and i laughed SO hard

I thought ..BETCH your proof that fast food restuarants are NOT the problem! You think the overwieght people are like dragged into the restuarant and are forced to buy something and you, with your perfect healthy body, you just arent? NO dammit its a choice. I eat mickey d's all the damn time! Its not only this bullshit about the restuarants, but about like certain types of foods u just should NOT EVER EAT. Like watching all ur carbs. Cmon. And also Im hispanic, we fry EVERYTHING. Lol well not everything but alot of things, and my family isnt overweight. My ma is a really awesome cook, shes from europe, and we eat a shitload of carbs and all kinda of things, but we arent overweight. That whole ordeal just has to do with how you are raised, disciplined, and how u urself make eating choices. You can eat some fatty foods every once in a while, but portions and how much u eat is whats important. its just common sense.

Also americans should focus less on ****** food, and more on real ISSUES

I personally have always liked McDonalds. I am tired of all these activists on their soapboxes saying that McDonalds is cruel to the chickens, and these misinformed preteens running their mouth about how McDonalds make their food out of garbage and turds and mealworms. The FDA is very strict about what kind of food goes out to the public. And a lot of people seem to think that McDonalds makes you fat. No. People who choose to eat with a shovel rather than a fork are what is making America fat. I like McDonalds because it tastes good, and it is not only cheap, but convenient. I do not eat there all the time, but when I am driving home from work and haven't eaten in a few hours, those golden arches look pretty darn inviting!

They are the biggest of the fast food chains and they want to make an example of them. I agree completely. It is everyone ones choice to go their or not. Just as much the parents choice to take their kids there. Just as much as it is any ones choice to be what size they want to be rather thin or overweight.

Maybe its the most convenient for people who are on the go. Or, restaurants may be too expensive for people. Or, some people really really love McDonald's:)

I go out to eat every month. I don't go twice a week. Unless I need to because I have a doctor's appointment or something.

McDonald's have marketing experts working for them, which is the reason for their success.
They provide a fast and efficient service
As for the taste and quality of their food that is another thing.
Try eating one of their burgers without any sauce.

Personally fresh BBQ roadkill is more enticing than one of their plastic, flavourless burgers

I think it's hilarious that people blame McDonald's themselves. The people have a CHOICE whether they want to go there, in moderation or in excess. Some people are tempted more easily than others, but that's not the foods' fault.

Each to their own, I s'pose.

Thr bigger they are, the harder they fall. So that explains it all in a nutshell as to why David throws stones at Goliath.
