Actually it's just poor grammar.
A better way to say it would be "leave those kids alone."
The irony of the song is that there is poor grammar throughout as they sing they "don't need no education".
I like the guitar & the beat-- and the end of course. "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! how can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?" has long been a household joke.

It means "those" in that context. As prior poster noted it is grammatically incorrect. It is used purposefully however as it is a common usage much like the word "ain't" typically by uneducated or lower educated persons (or educated people that just don't give a damn).

i'm an Atheist, and that i agree that Christian indoctrination in faculties isn't a solid situation, yet, please evaluate this ... a loss of know-how breeds lack of awareness, and lack of awareness breeds hatred. this could properly be a properly-properly-known word, and it rather isn't any longer purely a meaningless cliché. in case you attempt to shield your little ones from discovering approximately faith, they are going to purely advance prejudices and advance as much as grow to be boastful bigots who won't be able to deal with inter-faith relationships of any types. do no longer attempt and take care of your little ones from all awareness of religion, as no longer uncomplicated as that could desire to sound once you prefer to maintain faith out of their lives. you are able to desire to discover ways to permit your little ones be loose with faith and make their own judgements. do no longer hunch all the way down to the point of Christian father and mom that indoctrinate their little ones into Christianity. you will do precisely the comparable and make your little ones into radical atheists. provide all of them the counsel, insofar as you're able, instruct them or enable them to verify approximately as many distinctive faiths as available so which you enable them to return to their own determination approximately their religious/irreligious ideals. My mom is a Christian and, aside from making me visit church, she gave me the comparable danger and did no longer infringe my religious freedom. She allowed me to return to my own end approximately God, Allah, Zeus, Waheguru, Yahweh, Jehovah, regardless of you prefer to call it, and, after thinking approximately it thoroughly, I settled on the atheistic theory. it rather is a determination you are able to desire to come to at your person accord, no longer your father and mom'. Edit: Who thumbed me down? What reason might while you have for doing so?

It's gramatically incorrect. They mean 'those', not 'them'.
