Everything in America is going to pot and we are busy meddling in other countries business. We are selling our country to China. Our kids are becoming less educated than many other countries kids. We have a terrible heath crisis in America. Corporations are global and they look at America as just another country to pimp. They have no allegiance to this country....just to the mighty dollar. I would love to hear other views on this issue.

It's not going to happen any time soon! You are supposed to learn from your mistakes, but the US Govt. just keeps doing the same dumb things, time after time. The "global economy" is only a way for big business to make greater profits at any cost, and is backed by world leaders.
smsmith500 - America was sticking their noses into other countries affairs LONG BEFORE 9/11, and have screwed up every time! For instance, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Laos, Cambodia, and the list goes on! The US has learnt nothing from history.

The dollar is hardly "mighty" these days. The Federal Reserve was created in 1913 to allow the government virtually unlimited funding (via debt) for perpetual war. And given the virtually cosmic cost of the current "War On Terror" count on the dollar being further debased as the U.S. Mint's printing presses goes into overdrive.
In essence there is no difference in the impact on the economy between a counterfeiter and the Federal Reserve Bank. Except that one is illegal and the other is legal, the effect of having more notes in circulation is virtually identical.
Okay, well one little difference: The people who get first grabs at the newly minted money receive the greatest benefit, before the money is debased as it is passed down in circulation. Debasing the money (by increasing the number of Federal Reserve Notes, or by printing counterfeit notes) means that each note is worth LESS. Does anyone understand?
Interventionism is the single most destructive force threatening the future of America. Mortgaging the future of our grandchildren to fund it is a recipe for national suicide.

When we vote in the very one we need for President, and she will make a darn good one, it was on the news today that the government is letting foreign countries buy all the real estate they want to buy, that, meaning all the houses that are now for sale, meaning any country that wants to buy them. The government will never stop meddling with other countries until the people of this great country has their say and puts a stop to it.

Sell whatever they want in the USA so long as they don't create new tech. or produce generic medicine for the poor people in the world. If they break the deal = Iraq and Venezuela
and India just sign on too:
International Corporations using the US military and tax $$$ as they please with the support of Stupid Americans = usually Christian conservatives who love waving Bibles and Flags

When Americans start to educate themselves about ALL the USA is doing overseas.
I use to be one of those persons. I never use to concern myself with US foreign polices, but at the start of the Iraq war, I began to read many, many news sources in the US and some overseas. The internet is a great resource.
A lot of the problems that the USA has with Muslim countries is due to our policies in Israel and other counties.
How many people know that during the WAR in Afghanistan between Afghanistan and Russia that the US supported and supplied weapons to Afghanistan(the people we are fighting now) and that Israel gets millions of dollars and weapons from the US?

We were very happy to mind our own business until 19 muslim nutjobs chose to kill 3000 of our people. Of course we could have ignored the problem until they had killed a couple thousand more. After all it worked for Clinton.
