is it really real and if so why do they use animated if they can track him

Because its a "black" program. Meaning its Top Secret. They really can't divulge the exact location because then you'd see what you were really getting for Christmas silly.
Everyone knows that!

My kids have been watching Norad all day ( well up until they went to bed at 8.30pm) they have been really excited. We also had Google Earth up on the P.C, Norad on laptop, so they could see how close he is now.
