Hello Prodigal Son you aren't leaving us are you, is there anything that can be said or done to make you stay. Like we would all miss you if you left us especially me, I think you're a top man, and so lovely and polite, as well, but most of all you are "GORGEOUS" to look at. Have a lovely Christmas and stay safe. xxxxxxxxxx

Yes, sadly there is. When something or someone is steady causing you more pain than happiness, it's time to say goodbye. One good thing about goodbye is you can always say hello again. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Sometimes it works out and sometimes you just have to say goodbye for good. Good luck.

No there is never a good time to say goodbye unless you are saying goodbye to a bad thing that is happening in your life

I see you have many answers; I haven't read them all. There is never really a right time to say goodbye.
Contradicting myself I can see that if something has run it's course then it is in the best interests of all to say farewell.
It depends on the situation and how much you care.
You cannot choose your family, you can only be true to you.
My son will not choose me, maybe you can relate to that.
I wish you a peaceful few days.Xl

During the holidays after the food is almost gone and the gift wrappings have been picked up then a nice goodbye with hugs is acceptable.

There's never a right time to say goodbye but you know that I gotta go...It's Christmas eve, the family is waiting! Time for eggnog and hopefully a kiss neath the mistletoe.

Santa rides tonight!!!!

Merry Christmas one and all

I don't believe there is. No matter how much you would like it to be. I hope you aren't thinking of leaving us? Also I hope it's nothing serious. If it is, make sure you say good-bye to whoever it is before it's to late. Cheer up, it's almost Xmas now. No doldrums here, you're such a nice young man that whatever it is will work out for you I'm sure. Take care.

This would depend on whom you are saying goodbye to. When my bf left to the states, we decided we would not say goodbye...just see ya later...and in what sense you are saying goodbye...

goodbye for what? it depends on the situation. the right time is as soon as you know you need to say it; putting it off is no good to anyone. obviously, not saying it in an embarrassing and/or public situation could be preferable.
