Apparently not. She gave them something to drink, and presto! they were pigs. When she tried it on Odysseus a little later, he was forewarned and didn' t drink but made her change them back, which apparently she did very easily. Since it's usually easier to do damage than to undo it, I'd guess that they became pigs at least as easily as they became men again.

Circe was beautiful and hard to resist. There is a moral to this story. This was a test that Odysseus passed. He was tempted by the most fascinating creature in the world, but he still longed for his wife Penelope, the most loyal wife in Ancient Greece. Penelope , herself , had to ward off the suitors who insisted she married one of them. If you saw the film you know that the suitors finally got their just deserve when Odysseus and his son Telemachus killed all of them.

If you ask this question of a female, they would tell you that there would be no sense in turning men into swine because they are pigs already.
