Excellent point!
Too many have turned sharing the word of God into a cash flow business. Religious profiteering is as evil as war profiteering. Many so-called ministers have become multi-millionaires off of something that God gave freely to the world.
Some criminal on TV was offering "Prayer cloths" for any donation amount one was willing to send. He will reap even worse than the cruelest murderer or thief. Envision a warehouse filled with boxes containing ordinary cloth napkins and this scum bag is selling them as "Prayer cloths" that he personally blessed. What a criminal.

When I worked for the catholic church their audacity never ceased to amaze me. The parish this particular church was located in is within a giant retirement community in central Florida. I actually witnessed the pastor suggest people with stock leave it to the church when they died. At the end of each fiscal year they would post the numbers and this particular church was pulling in over two million a year, at least that's what was reported, there's a lot of cash floating around in churches, it's sometimes hard to keep track. Anyway the pastor is aloof and distant, the administrator was banned from the church property and to the best of my knowledge you cannot petition the Lord with money. Merry Christmas.

my church doesn't have a CEO. But the money I donated this year (including my wedding) was about $2500. That doesn't include the gifts, canned food drives, or volunteer work to raise money for the poor.

My church doesn't have a CEO. The charitable organizations that are funded by donations did okay though.

The CEO of my church doesn't need money. In fact if he did need money it is he whom we trust most with our money. It says so on the money.

Wish Americans would understand what this tax exempt incorporated churches are really all about - think if they did we could begin to get down to having some real spiritual type religion.
