its an older machine and just not running quite right. new plug, air filter and new gas.

There might be a small screw on the engine to adjust the fuel flow. Every engine is different, if you got a bunch of new stuff that may be the problem. If you can't find it or have trouble still try to look for a local lawnmower repairman to help you look at it. Hope this helps. Best Wishes.

If it has adjustable jets the high speed jet is usually located on the bottom of the carb and the low speed jet is near the top. They will be a straight slot screw with a spring on them. With the engine running at high speed turn the high speed jet in and out slowly to get the best rpm. With the engine running at idle turn the low speed jet in and out to get the smoothest idle. You may have to adjust the idle speed screw when your done.
