Who are your Top (3) favorite X-Men?

Cyclops, simply because it was interesting to see a character whose power could also be viewed as a curse which was highly unusual (only the Thing had a similar problem) back when the character was first introduced. I also tend to think of Cyclops when I think of the X-Men, since he was one of the original X-Men and has served with so many other mutant line-ups (X-Men and otherwise) since then.

Ice-Man, who is basically an inverse Human Torch, because he has always been depicted as a team player and has worked as well with non-mutants in groups like The Champions and the New Defenders, as he has with X-Factor and other mutant line ups. Ice-Man is a very versatile character who has very seldom gotten the sort of attention he deserves.

Storm, who has a nice set of abilities which make her a formidable character without making her too powerful to be interesting. She's been mishandled more than once (for example, when she was stripped of her powers for far too long), but when she is handled correctly she has an innate dignity which is quite believable. She's one of the few mutant characters who weren't invented in the sixties that I find appealing. Most neo-mutants are such bitter and violent characters that I don't care a thing about them; Storm is the exception that proves the rule.
