I don't have kids... therefore why would I possibly get out of bed early on christmas morning?? Simple. I wouldn't.

Yet - my sister in law (who has 3 kids) thinks its totally acceptable to send me a text message at 5:30 am on Christmas morning, which woke me up... I am really pissed off about it.

People with or without kids - do you this this is rude/acceptable ...? And why?!!

It is very rude .... If she knows that you are not up that early I would think she was Just wanting someone eles to suffer gettign up that early with her. it does not matter if you do or do not have Kids unless you are 100% sure someone is gonna be up that early then you should not bother them!!

I think that it was rude but i wouldn't get very pissed about it. It's easy to forget that people have different schedules than you. I am in college and have accidentally sent my sister texts at 1 am. It wasn't that i meant to be rude i just didn't realize how late it was. It could be that your sister in law simply got caught up in the moment and sent you the text.

Rude. You should turn everything off before going to bed and tell them that you're not answering any calls until after you get up.

.At least they are thinking about you.

Turn the phone off during the times you don't want to be disturbed. Wrong numbers can be a little up setting in the middle of the night

I think it's rude, because you can sleep in if you want to. So, she should respect you. 5:30 is a little out there. 7:00 is annoying too, but that might be a little different.

Merry Christmas

Don't make such a big deal about it! I mean, come on! Just go back to sleep! GOSH!

Your sister in law wasn't trying to be mean, she just wanted to chat with you and she just forgot that you might be asleep.

You need to chill, hun! This is nothing to get mad about. Your sis in law did nothing wrong! She just forgot you might be sleeping. She just wanted to say hi! You should be flattered that she wanted to talk to you so early in her day!

It's just one morning, dude. You will have thousands of other opportunities to sleep in. Chill and don't worry about it.

P.S. Maybe you should try some anger management therapy! :) lol
