If it is a bad bulb
DO NOT use a cheap discount store automotive bulb
buy a bulb at the Yamaha Dealer

why? the motorcycle bulb is made with a heavy duty filament that can handle the shock and vibration, and it can handle the high and low charging voltages that your motorcycle puts out

Check the headlight fuse.
