I like it for my future daughter, but someone I know said it was a stripper name. I would have never thought that, so I thought I would conduct a little survey....

Given its datedness -- very common a generation ago -- and the resulting adult points of reference, including various "strippers" and other adult entertainers (including well-known "porn queen" Jenna Jameson!) -- yes, I'd say it's fairly hard for the name to escape its popular adult associations.
What about similar, but much more current (and not at all risque) Gemma? Or at least consider using "Jenna" as a nickname for a more formal, classic option without those stripperish undertones. ;) Genevieve, for instance.
Ps. People seem confused on exactly what a "stripper name" really is. Generally, popular stage names often include those that are trendy to the point of overuse -- either with the current generation (Madison, Mackenzie, Cheyenne, Jaden, Nevaeh) or the actual stripper's (for a 20-30 year old, Jennifer/Jenna, Jessica, Nicole, Amanda, Kimberly, etc.) -- random "pretty" names, often actual words (Lacy, Summer, Amber, Skye ...) and especially cutesy nickname forms (a la Jenna, again). So yes, it certainly makes sense that dated, "pretty," cutesy short form Jenna is popular within that very genre. The show of support is nice, but not exactly well-founded, I'm afraid. ;)

No. Jenna is not a stripper name. Anyone who says so has been watching too much porn and is thinking of Jenna Jameson (yuck!).

not in a million years would i consider the name jenna a stripper name, my idea of a stripper name would be something like kitty, but never jenna, i think jenna is a very cute name. i have a cousin named jenna but she spells her name jena

No, I think its a really pretty name my friends name is Jenna, I think you should pair it with a regular middle name though so it doesn't over power the first name some middle name Idea's are Marie, Lynn, Ann, Jean unless you already have a middle name picked out. Good Luck and Happy Holidays!!!

All I know is that when I hear that name I automatically think of porn. I think alot will to. But it's still an nice name though. Hey president bush thought it was an OK name for his daughter.
