I really want to start wearing make-up and stuff but I don't really know what would suit me best. So I was wondering if anyone out there could help me?
So... a little about me: I'm not gonna put a picture of myself online, so I'll do my best to describe myself. I have brown hair with honey highlights (so it's a little lighter than the hair of my avatar). The color is actually really close to Emma Watson's hair, and so is the cut. I have really fair skin that looks pretty funny when you put bronzer on it, so please don't suggest that. I have really big, blue eyes that everyone says is one my best features. My lips and nose are pretty average, but I do wish my nose was a bit less squashy. Okay, that sounds terrible, my nose isn't squashy. But when I smile, it sort of spreads out a little. I know, not much I can do about that. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for where to start with make-up. What kind would suit me best?
Anyone have any favorite projects?

I'm not a big fan of online things like Avon. Um, I like Sephora. I just don't know what to buy when I get in there =)

I think you should start out very light. Do you have oily skin? the first thing I started with was face powder, to stop shiny skin, but with your coloring I bet you have drier skin than me. Mascara does a lot for a face, any will do, like Covergirl or great lash. The ones with those new brushes that are plastic and look really bristly are great for not clumping. Use an eyelash comb to get rid of lumps. Pink or coral blush is pretty, use a light hand, and Covergirl or whatever, it's all the same. Get something pretty and cheap. Colored lipglosses are really pretty, something coral or rose or something, one of those flavored tinted glosses are pretty on young women. Concealer is good under your eyes if you get dark circles, but that needs to be a good match and is worth buying at the makeup counter in a department store to get a good match. You shouldn't use foundation or that heavy stuff until you are old like me lol Pretty gold glittery eyeshadow is pretty with the eyes, and not too heavy, also maybe some eyeshadow that will play up your pretty eye color, like blue.

Since you are just starting out, be subtle with your makeup. I would not try foundation or powder on you. Make your eyes and lips stand out as it would recede your nose. For eyes, use a black eyeliner (I recommend Urban Decay's 24/7) and some light eye shadow. For your palette, I would use browns or plums. Put a shade on that is lighter than your skin and apply it on your lid all the way up to your brow. Then use the darker color (brown or plum) and apply it to your lid and blend up and outwards. It will make your eyes pop. For lips, definitely get some lip gloss. I love Neutrogena's lip glosses. Get a more neutral color with a hint of pink.

Make up is so fun! Without actually seeing you I could really only guess. But don't put up your picture since that makes U uncomfortable. However, here are some suggestions. CosmoGirl has GREAT tips on makeup for every girl out there. You could also contact a local rep for Mary Kay or Avon and have a makeup party! --you could invite your friends & everyone would get free samples. The rep would be able to match you with the right makeup. Or, you could go to the mall! Usually pricey department stores in the mall have makeup counters with consultants that will help you out with that. One last suggestion: go to a local cosmotology school--the students there could also match you up with the right stuff!

In my opinion you should go with Bare Essentuals. They have the full line at Sephora, and of course the sales people will test the shades on you. If you only use their mineral powder make up you will keep your nice skin healthy, you face will never look masky, and you will just have a beautiful, healthy, glow. Their products are truly amazing! My daughters and I switched to them a few years ago, and we would never even think about going to any other make-up. It's pricey to start (about $70.00), but in the long run you save so much money, cause just a small amount goes a long way, so it lasts forever and never goes bad. Best wishes to you on whatever you choose!

ok.
well, at first, since you have fair skin (and it sounds like it would be flawless [: )
use mineral foundation .
it works really good, covers things up, and makes you "glow".
i would suggest bare minerals or Micabella.
maybe get a shade darker then you normally would, because it would add a little color without making you look orange or give you a "bronzer" look.
then since you have blue eyes, use a dark brown eyeliner along your lash lines.
i would use Covergirl or Clinique for any eye makeup.
and for lips, you can use any lip gloss.
i just use chapstick because i dont want to look like i put on too much.
and if you do, apply the gloss to the center of your top & bottom lips.
if you put too much on, it will look messy.
i think thats all you need to know.
so mineral foundation & face makeup is simply the best.
Clinique or Covergirl for eyes.
and any lip gloss works, just dont put too much on.
i hope i helped & merry christmas to you too :D

Go to MaryKay.com and find a local consultant. Then you can contact them about attending a makeover. These are free and you are allowed to try on the stuff to see what you like and don't like. They can also give you some good beauty tips. Mind you the products can be rather expensive, but you can recreate what they show and tell you with other products without paying for a consultation.

if your skin is kind of blotchy, and not even-toned, i would suggest chanel foundation (it's my favorite) and when you go to buy it, they would show you how to put it on. if you have generally perfect skin, foundation and powder isn't really necessary. for eyes, try putting either a dark brown or black eyeliner (not liquid) on the top lid. make sure you blend the line a little bit though because it doesn't look as natural if you don't. for shadows, find a palette that has about 4 colors that complement each other. the lightest one goes closest to your brows, the medium colors go in your crease, and the dark color goes closest to your eye lashes.
hope that helped!

i think if ur eyes r ur best feat. then u should maybe try some mascara and some eye shadow...depends on wut u like [for the eye shadow maybe use a more "skin color" so its not so noticable] and for ur lips maybe use a lightish color or pinkish sorta thing...idk wut looks good on u?!? but try looking in some fashion mags or try finding stuff on emma watson? maybe u can style ur look after her?!? good luck and merry x-mas!!!
ps...u can ask a friend or someone to go to the mall wit u and try to go to macys or sephora [some store like that] and go to one of those areas where u can get ur makeup done and stuff and u can get suggestions and ideas from there... :P
hope i could help!
