Rose is right about the speech therapy. My speech teacher tortured me with that one for the entire third grade. By the end, I hated Sally and her stupid seashells, which I still couldn't say correctly. Sally, I think, was a great salesperson.

I can, now however, clearly say that Sally Sucks.

Sally, was a genius. She knew that people would want to have a memento of when they visited the beach. Every morning before the tourists were awake she would go to the beach, gather all the shells, clean and polish them and stock them in her shop by the seashore. She also had music playing and ads both with subliminal messages telling everyone who passed her shop "Buy Sally's Seashells".

Because silly, Sally owned the seashore where she sold her seashells so she saw it as simply serene.

There probably wouldn't be any left to pick up if that money-grubbing Sally is collecting them all. But at least the people that tell you where her shop is located are able to improve their speech a little bit.

Sally knew that people were to lazy to go find them !!

So she decided to go get them herself, and put a price for her idea and labor!

the really nice shells are farther out and you have to snorkel to find them. souvenir shops on the Gulf coast of Florida make big bucks selling them.

Actually, I read somewhere that tongue twisters like that were, years ago, used as an early form of speech therapy...to help people work on their S-sounds, etc.
Pretty clever, if you ask me.

Because she lobbied for a law prohibiting sea shell gathering for all except herself.
