This year I bought her a pair of leather gloves and a warm-up suit (one of those running suits). She would have never known, until our 4yr old decided to tell her and she approached me yesterday and said, please return those gifts. I won't wear them. We were out shopping last night and she found some Christmas dishes and said, here, get these, wrap them up and make that my gift from the kids and You.

I feel bad. I wanted to do something that would have been a surprise, but now its too late. Were just about to go out for Christmas Eve.

We are talking about updating her wedding ring after Christmas, so I think that will suffice, right?

Considering what I know about you and her ....she wouldnt get nothing from me. Maybe something from the kids...

Dont feel bad J....seriously......you put thought into a gift and thats just rude for her to say something like that...SHE should be the one who feels bad.

It seems you can never do right by her.I feel for you buddy..I really do =[

I know, like my mom, seems they are never satisfied and don't show any appreciation.
Take her to the mall or some where good and just let her pick it out for you, or give her a gift card to her favorite store and tell her to get somethings she loves!!! Don't go beyond your budget that would be ridiculous. Have someone come over and sing her a special song and give her that card, what could be better and more loving than that.===

One of my sons has the same problem with his wife. The only solution he's found is to figure out where she likes to shop, and then give her a gift card to that store. Just make sure the amount on the card is enough so you don't look cheap!

Wow.. Whether it's something she would wear or not, itsn't the point. It's the thought that counts. Personally, I think it was very rude of her to tell you to take it back.. and then to point out something she would like better. She should have just kept her mouth shut, and said thank you when she got her gifts.

But yes, updating her ring should be just fine!

The word 'ungrateful' comes to mind......if she's not going to let you know what she'd like, well, santa doesn't have to leave a present. As far as the rings......whose idea was that? Is that all about keeping up with the Joneses? Mixed messages, dear, are never a good sign. As Joan Rivers is fond of saying, Can we talk?

Remind her that the point of Christmas is to celebrate the spirit of giving and the birth of Christ. Granted he wasn't born in December but whatever, there's a moral point in there. To avoid future problems of gifts just say no Christmas for you next year, get the kids something but give her a card that says 'Sucks to getting nothing right? Remember this next year.'

People are supposed to be appreciative of gifts. Not demanding. Its people like her who take all the fun out of giving. I feel sorry for you you poor bastard.

Good luck with her next Christmas.

think a monute, has she been hinting towards somthing, women are all nuts, I think we can all agree to that, but it is really easy in the long run, just look for those hidden messages they drop, and you'll see what they really want. the ring would be cool, but think of somthing real special.

Dont get her anything ever again and tell her she will never get another gift from you as long as she is like this, and stick to it.
